Nice Teeth - Dental Promos

I recently shot some portraits of several Pinnacle Peak Dental Care patients for in-office advertising. Three different subjects, all with dental work completed by Dr. Holly Lerna of Scottsdale, photographed in the dentist's office.

The shoot was to entail natural light, shallow depth of field portraits, showcasing the subject's beaming smiles within the confines of the office. With many large north and south facing windows, the quality of natural light was sufficient for the job, and the office itself had more than a few suitable portrait backdrops.

I primarily used a 50mm f/1.8 lens somewhere between f/1.8 and f/2.8, occasionally switching to my 80-200mm f/2.8 for each shot. I spent between 15 and 30 minutes with each subject and called it a wrap.

The post work was pretty straightforward. The image files needed the resolution to stand up to large 24x36 prints, and the only retouching was correcting minor skin flaws and blemishes. I didn't make any adjustments to the subject's teeth.
