Matthew Strauss: I am a commercial + editorial portrait photographer based in the Phoenix-area. Storytelling is my passion and creating dynamic and highly contextualized images that tell a complete story of my subjects or clients is what I strive to create on each shoot. I believe in creating images from the ground up to tell a specific story, but also build enough flexibility into each shoot that we don't get so locked into an idea or concept that we miss something better that unexpectedly comes along. I work hard to grow creatively and professionally, but especially emphasize growing personally. I try to connect with my clients and my subjects on a personal level and believe that building trust opens doors to stronger images. Creativity. Vision. Emotion. Story.
